Let’s just get this out first – Tanah Keeta was a great campout. This is an official Boy Scout campground in Jupiter, Florida ran by the Gulf Stream Council.  The campgrounds, facilities, amenities were great but the weather was fantastic!!  Who would of thought we would have such great weather camping in April.  We also had a great turnout with about 30 campers.  There was great food, a hike, we saw wildlife, used the pool, enjoyed the hot showers and as always had some terrific camp fires…

vfwThis past Tuesday, a large amount of Scouts had a day trip to the Veteran of Foreign Wars Homestead Post to hand out some donations as well as the pottery items they made a few weeks back at a Den meeting.  While I was not fortunate to go, I heard many good things from the gatherings which seemed to me that both the Scouts as well as the Veterans had a great time.

Scouting sure brings out the best in people!

This year’s District campout was two weeks ago and I must say how AwEsOmE it was.  Definitely one of our better ones this year.  There were many Packs from the District as well as two Troops for support – our very own Troop 357 and Troop 69.   The theme for this Family campout was Olympics with each Pack designating a Country.  There were many creative sports on the field including Javalyn throw, Circular Dodge, Long jump and our own Shot put & the Untie Relay.  Dinner was also an event on its own…

Many thanks to all the Leaders, Committee Members and Parents whom made the campout incredible!  Enjoy the Pics!
